Giving Voice
With the aid of funding from the Gloucestershire County Council Digital Innovation Fund we have been able to devise focused one on one or, one on two sessions. These are specifically for those who not only have complex additional needs, but also have no speech capability.
We have an array of technology and techniques used to enable communication. Developing the trust and skills takes time, and trust is the key element. The blend of activities and equipment that delivers results can vary significantly from one individual to another.

Adequate preparation is a must for successfully delivering the sessions. We often spend more time preparing than delivering. The activities predominantly happen in the home environment, whether that’s a family or care setting, meaning that our project leaders have to cover quite a few miles despite careful planning.
